Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were snapped Wednesday filming Eclipse at the Forks police station in Vancouver, Canada.

The handsome 23-year-old Twilight star looked confident and capable behind the wheel of a black Volvo, with co-star (and rumored love interest) Stewart in the passenger seat.

Jasper Spills The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Secrets

Jackson Rathbone, aka, Jasper Hale, is telling all about the third 'Twilight' film in a new interview.

Rathbone told MTV, "I'm really excited to start filming 'Eclipse.' I got a chance to read the script, and we get to go back into Jasper's backstory. They actually had to ask me about my equestrian experience. I told them I can gallop and trot and all that. I used to ride. It's been two or three years since I've been on a horse, but I'm excited to get back up on the saddle."

In 'Eclipse,' Jackson says they will shoot some Civil-war era scenes, including the one where his character becomes a vamp, and when he meets his true love, Alice Cullen, played by Ashley Greene in the films.

"It's going to be great," Jackson told MTV, continuing, "I've been studying up a lot on the Civil War and that era. It really was a crazy time. It was all-out war on our own turf and between countrymen. That's terrible. It's an interesting time to see when Jasper was actually human and what his human form was and, when he gets turned, how intense and how dark he is. Then [we'll see] his realization of what he's become, him finding Alice and being redeemed by love."

Actor Injured on Set of 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'

One of the stars of 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' has been injured and was taken to the hospital.

A rep for Summit Entertainment tells ET, "Actor Jackson Rathbone of the 'Twilight Saga' movies, was slightly injured yesterday during a fight scene rehearsal. As a precaution, he was driven to the hospital and checked out by a doctor. He's fine and is back at work on the set of 'Eclipse' today."

Rathbone plays the role of Jasper Hale in the series, the adopted brother of Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson.

Sighting No. 1: Peter Facinelli aka Dr. Carlisle Cullen

Has the doctor been working out or what? Check out those arms! In the photo, he sports a black T-shirt reading Killers and a pair of casual jeans with matching pale make-up and brooding stare. If this guy doesn't look like a true blood-sucker then I don't know who does.

Sighting No. 2: Wolfpack

Even a snarling, bloodthirsty group of werewolves likes to chill out and keep it casual from time to time. Don’t they look tame in their bathrobes?

Sighting No. 3: Robert Pattinson aka Edward Cullen

Working even during weekends, this British hottie was seen shooting some scenes for the movie last Saturday, Sept. 19. The day before, he and other cast members of the movie were seen enjoying a night outing in Vancouver.

Lowdy mercy, all of these updates from the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse may have your head spinning today!

First of all, there were spottings, spottings everywhere - the wolfpack edition.

Cast members like Alex Meraz and Kiowa Gordon were spotted around town yesterday, but the latest sightings include the most recently announced additions to the Eclipse crew Boo Boo Stewart and Julia Jones. As you know, Stewart is set to play Seth Clearwater, and Jones will play Leah Clearwater. Another Clearwater for the mix? Apparently so. Radar Online pointed to the arrival of Alex Rice as being pertinent to Eclipse cast arrivals, and one source claims that this Rice is slated to portray Sue Clearwater. Other sightings included that of Gil Birmingham, who tweeted: "Long hours, but very rewarding. Great 2 be back with cast and to meet the new cast members...looking forward to the telling of the legend." Looks like Gil is prepping for his Quileute story-telling scene!

David Slade tweeted about yesterday's filming, stating, "Yesterday Taylor had to carry Kristen for several hours, he held it together - hope he can lift his arms today. Rain dumped on us all day." The same source that offered details on Alex Rice states, "As for what the cast has been working on this week – first few days it was fight training, learning how to battle an army of new vampires. Then yesterday 'Jacob' runs with 'Bella' in his arms while he tells her why he doesn’t want to be the top dog even though it’s his birthright." As you might recall, in the book, the scene that this entails is in the later portion, and the Cullens and the wolves have already agreed to work together to protect Bella from the incoming newborn army (and Victoria). In doing so, Jacob agrees to carry Bella through the woods to get the mountainside while the Cullens split up and make trails all over the woods. Jacob carrying Bella keeps her scent as far from traceable as possible.

Apparently, another scene involving Jacob was also filmed recently. Mandy's blog suggests that the spotting of Cullen and Quileute cars outside of Jacob's house indicates that one of the final Eclipse scenes was being done as well - the doctoring scene. Shortly after Mandy's report, Radar also spotted Facinelli outside Jacob's house, thusly confirming the fact that he was there. In the book, Carlisle comes to help care for Jacob when he is wounded in the newborn battle sequences (note: he was wounded protecting Leah Clearwater - so, since Jones has just arrived, the scene that causes his injury has probably yet to be filmed). Last night, Facinelli tweeted that he had endured an eighteen hour day of filming - man, oh man, being the doctor is rough!

David Slade Wants 'Eclipse' to Be Gorier, Darker and More Guy-Friendly

MTV, an outlet I don't believe has ever covered the Twilight franchise, is reporting that Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night director David Slade has visions of turning Eclipse, the upcoming third film in Stephenie Meyer's paranormal romance series, into a film guys may actually want to bring their dates to. One may assume their source for this speculation should have been as obvious as David Slade's historical track record - revenge-loving jail bait and deformed, snow-covered throat-rippers don't exactly scream PG-13 hugs and cuddles - but their actual informant is Eclipse co-star Ashley Greene:

"The first one was very focused on this love story and really sweet and it was beautiful, but it didn't have a lot of stuff that guys would go, 'Yeah, I want to go see that,' " she said. "There's going to be a lot more focus on [action], and the fight scene will have more emphasis on it. I definitely think it will be a little more guy-friendly."

Now before you doubt how a singular fight scene designates a film more "guy-friendly", keep in mind that Greene is referring to only her character's big showdown, which apparently has left the young actress, who plays Alice Cullen, adopted sister to dreamboat Edward Cullen, bruised from all the stunt training. MTV is quick to point out that the novel culminates in "a climactic battle of vampires and werewolves", which certainly sounds like something basic enough to attract a tree-chopping, tobacco-chewing, barrel-chested king of men like me... until I remember that we're talking about a franchise that makes that which normally bursts into horrific flames sparkle like an '80s be-dazzler in sunlight.

As an aforementioned king of men, I don't need carefully supervised dabs of PG-13 gore, a concept that is already more mythological than all the vampires and werewolves Stephenie Meyers can toss together, or a few people getting thrown around on wires to be interested in Eclipse. It's nice to see the marketing effort, Summit, but you already had me at David Slade. After Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night, that man could direct the The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3: Re-tailored and I'd still be game.

Development

In early November 2008, Summit announced that they had attained the rights to the remaining books in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series: New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. In February 2009, Summit confirmed that they would begin working on Eclipse. On the same day, it was announced that since New Moon director Chris Weitz will be in post-production for New Moon when Eclipse begins shooting, he will not be directing the third film. Instead, Eclipse will be helmed by director David Slade, with Melissa Rosenberg returning as screenwriter.

Casting

Bryce Dallas Howard will be replacing Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria. Summit Entertainment attributed the change to scheduling conflicts, and Lefevre responded that she was "stunned" and "greatly saddened" by the decision. Jodelle Ferland has been cast as the newly turned vampire, Bree. Other new cast members include Xavier Samuel as Riley, Jack Huston as Royce King II, Catalina Sandino Moreno as Maria, Julia Jones as Leah Clearwater, and Boo Boo Stewart as Seth Clearwater.

Filming

Principal photography began on August 17 and is expected to run until October 31, 2009 at Vancouver Film Studios.

Summit Entertainment released a plot summary of Eclipse on February 20, 2009, which states:

As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob -- knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death.
